Wellness tool entries stay on your device
Tool calculations run in your browser. The habit planner may use local browser storage so your ticks remain on that device. We do not receive those entries. You can use all SHAPE wellness tools without creating an account.
Newsletter consent and unsubscribe records
When you submit the newsletter form, SHAPE stores an encrypted version of the email address, a keyed lookup value, consent time, consent-policy version and form source. The database does not store your email address as readable text. We do not need your wellness-tool answers, IP address or advertising profile to keep that subscription. You can use the unsubscribe page at any time. An unsubscribed address is retained only as a suppression record so it is not added back accidentally; privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
Database protection and recovery
The newsletter runs on MySQL with a restricted application account that cannot delete records or change the database structure. Encryption keys remain outside MySQL. Encrypted backups and point-in-time recovery protect against accidental loss. No database can honestly be called impossible to destroy, so access control and tested recovery are both part of the protection.
Technical information
Basic logs keep the service reliable
A production host may process standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp for security and reliability. Any analytics added later should be privacy-conscious and disclosed here.
Cookies and local storage
No advertising profile is required
The current public experience does not require an account or advertising cookies. Local storage used by a tool can be cleared through your browser settings.
